Hi one person's weight loss adventure celebration!
I have been on Cr for almost 20 years, and remember when the Crsociety consisted mainly of men who would put everything healthy under the sun into a blender and drink that to avoid preparing meals. So I am so happy to see Cr recipes.
I am writing a revised edition to teh Longevity Diet along with Brian Delaney, and would love to use some of your recipes. As I am a vegetarian, I would especially like to use the turkey ones, and would acknowledge you and even use some of your success story, if you would give us permission.
anyway, great work, inspiring!

Vanessa,
I guess the toughest would be when I first started and was hungry. It takes a bit of time to get used to less calories. I have never missed grains, sugars, milk, potatoes or rice.
It is also sorta hard to remember to use the cronOmeter everyday. It sure makes a difference when I don't. My calories creep up and I have to restart the hunger again. But, it is all worth it.

I don't eat fatty meals nor do I eat fatty snacks.
I have never used exercise to lose weight and never will. I exercise for balance, tone, and strength. I stand by my choice to lose almost 100 pounds without exercising. I knew I had to change my eating habits to lose weight and not rely on exercise. I hate exercising and always have, I do it grudgingly.

I use the cronOmeter to count calories using the whole food item. In other words if I put one apple in my green juice I enter one apple into the cronOmeter.

Hi Marjie,

I have been reading your blog and really enjoying it! I am really interested in starting a CR way of life. I have been a raw foodist for the last 2.5 years! I was wondering, have you found a good site to calculate the total calories for juiced friut and veg? or are the calories the same because juicing simply extracts the fiber?

Keep up the great work!
