So Good to be Happy
Wow, couldn’t be happier, down .2 today. I thought I blew it with food yesterday. I had been feeling a little strange in the head and irritable so I increased my calories. Both the headache and nastiness left. Food or coffee, what was it?
I had a banana, lots of grapes, 6 very small pieces of leftover chicken, 1/2 cup garbanzos, lettuce and no oil dressing, one serving Turkey Luau Loaf and a yam. The total: 1100 calories. Sure wish there was left over Turkey Luau. The Greek loved it. Good thing I made only 4 servings. I used my new Cookbook Healthy Cooking for Two (or just you) by Frances Price, RD. She uses milk, but I can use some of the recipes. I don’t use milk products.
I can’t use a cook book that doesn’t have calorie counts and smaller servings. I see no reason to make servings for 6 or 8 or even 4 although I do 4 servings sometimes because I know the Greek will eat it. So he had 660 calories in his 3 servings, he could have left me one, The PIG!
I am wearing 16’s right now and they are very comfortable. I should be wearing this size for another month. I have a soft untoned body. It always has been this way. I don’t expect anything different even after I join the gym, which I now only 18 pounds away. I’ll need the exercise to burn the calories I eat because as you loose weight you need fewer calories to exist. Joining the gym isn’t about toning for me; it is about burning calories. That’s why I choose Curves; its workout is fast and should burn 200 calories, enough to continue to loose on my 1000-1200 calories.
I don’t plan on giving the trick or treaters anything tomorrow. Guess I won’t turn on any lights. We might not get any kids. I hope not. I don’t think there are many kids on this Island of 2300. The parents must drive them to a neighborhood off the island. I would.
