Life Changes

So many things have been going on this month, most of them not so great. I have been self employed for almost 30 years and really want to work another 4. I cut back work to 2 hours a day and kept one busy office. It was perfect. Well, the office has decided to  move on. That leaves me with no work of course. Now I am trying to figure out how to live with less income and a budget.  It will be something new, I have never worried about money before, guess I should have.

I am looking forward to not working so it really isn’t all that bad. Wish I knew what to do with all my dental equipment. I have an ad on Craig’s list. Hope somebody needs it. I plan on closing June 15.

Another change was a reaction to Flax seeds. I think I have it under control now. I had to stop using the seeds a few weeks ago. I suspect they were making some fibroid tumors grow. The pain was pretty bad. I have a Dr’s appointment in a few weeks to see if everything is OK. Not looking forward to it.

I have been extremely tired during the day, don’t know if that is from the stress of a business tubing or what. But, I have been glued to the darn TV during the day and sleeping half of it. No energy at all. I have been overeating too. Not bad food, unless fruit is bad. I have had to stop buying so much of it. I will stick with things I won’t eat in one sitting like I can strawberries and cherries. Wow, can I put away cherries.  The result, no weight loss for 4 weeks. I am OK with it, but would prefer to have lost 5 pounds. I do have 30 more to loose if I want to be 135, and I do. I’ll get there.

I have started feeling better this week and even spent hours working in the yard. I bought about 40 plants from Annie’s Annuals. I love that place. Today we had a heat wave, sure hope all my cute plants make it.  I am almost finished planting the yard. There is a silly rule here about digging holes for plants, we can dig only 6 inches deep. So I decided to buy a huge pot, cut the bottom off and sit it 6 inches deep and put a tree in the pot. It worked great and it looks good. Now I am going to plant a hedge in pots so I can have some privacy along one side. We can have a fence but the plants will be taller and better looking. The plants will be the last project for the yard. I will need about 10 pots and plants for the 60 foot hedge. I still don’t know what plants I want. Better decide soon, planting season is about to end. Of course we can plant year round  here but spring and fall is still the best.

I am finally feeling better and I am even using the cron o meter again and hey, I am even typing in my blog, that needs to be updated. I think I am going to be OK.

I was interested to find your comment about the flax seeds. I have for awhile suspected that eating ground flax seeds every day might have been related to dramatic growth of my fibroid and also to excess bleeding. Ironically, I have read numerous sources advising fibroid patients to start eating flax seeds.

    Hi Laur
We must have read different articles. It has been about one week that I am pain free. I have been taking apple cider vinegar with stevia everyday. I beleive it has helped.
I will go back to flax but never seeds. It will be flax seed oil.
I will try to post the links about flax seeds and also how apple cider vinegar is supposed to shrink fibroids.
Good luck to you, let me know how your doing.

Thank you. I’d be interested in the links. My father used to drink a cup of apple cider vinegar with honey in warm water every day. He had read that this had some health benefit, though I can’t remember what that was specifically.

I appreciate your very interesting web site.
