Holiday Eve
Counting calories
I could be better at using the Cron O Meter in the past few days. I haven’t gained but haven’t lost much either. The only way I can tell what is going on if to use the Cron O Meter. My calories, as best I can figure, are still around 1000 a day.
The Jan. 1 goal of 190 is getting closer, only 3 pounds left to go. If I make this goal I will have reached all the goals I have made for myself. Of course I haven’t make them very difficult, only 10 pounds a month, with no exercise that is pretty good. The biggest change has been in my waist. I have lost several inches there. I love it.
I am approaching day 100 of Calorie Restriction and feeling better every day. I feel more in control, more active, no headaches, no puffiness, no stuffiness, and smaller, what could be better!
Treats
Tomorrow I am going to try and make some dried fruit and coconut treats. I can’t find a recipe so I will have to be creative and make one up. I want the coconut to be a filling for a stacked cookie type treat. They have to be fairly small because I want them to be only 100 calories each. I ran the ingredients through the Cron O Meter so I think I can do it. I bought some great looking dried figs and nuts as well as dates and prunes. Tomorrow will be test day.
We will be alone, as usual, so I bought a small Turkey breast for the two of us. I will make stuffing and gravy for the Greek, I will have Turkey and Brussels sprouts and hopefully a dried fruit treat.
Shopping
The Greek loves to shop and will jump in the car as fast as I can even think about shopping. So most of our days together is shopping. Today I was very hungry while at 2 grocery stores. Not a good thing. I frantically read labels but still didn’t make real good buys. I ended up with a few things I might have to toss out. A bag of Pita chips with way to much salt. I had only 2 chips. I thought they would be good with my hummus, not with all that salt on them. We also bought some nice plants for some bare pots, new light switch covers that I love, and paint. Yes, paint, the Greek actually has painted the laundry room, and 2 bathrooms and tonight he painted a wall in the family room. It is a dark Hershey, not milk chocolate, but unsweetened. It looks pretty darn good.
We will have to go shopping some more, I now need something to put in front of the dark wall. Everything I have blends in and we can’t see it except, of course, the TV which looks great against the brown wall.
