A calorie restriction Thanksgiving
I managed a CR Thanksgiving last year and I want to do it again. I can see a few roadblocks already. I am not cooking this year. My daughter is, she respects by way of eating but will still do her own thing.
I did make 2 different types of pumpkin pie without crust. I baked them in souffle pans. They are beautiful and tasty. I reduced the sugars in both of them. One has agave nector and dark brown sugar with coconut milk, the other had non fat milk. Both have 4 whole eggs. I could have taken out some of the yolks but didn’t. I put the ingredients in the cronOmeter and they did great except for carbs of course. Both of them are close to the same amount of calories for a one cup serving. Almost 200. The coconut one has less protein. That is if I did them right. They both are very tasty. I hope to leave them alone on Thanksgiving.
I did my food for Thanksgiving in the cronOmeter already. I allowed myself 3 glasses of Merlot. I am looking forward to them. It has been ages since I had any wine. I do love the wine.
I have a challenge to lose 12 pounds by Christmas, I have never lost 12 pounds in one month so I doubt I will be even close to be the winner in this challenge. But, I do love a challange so game on. The day it started I had just hit 149.4 so that was my starting weight. Dang, if I didn’t gain a pound the next day and blew it. I am now back to 149 even and 3 days behind in the challenge. I need to keep my fingers off the bad foods Thursday.
Have a great Holiday, eat smart, stay thin.
DO you think I am eating too many carbs? I am not really eating potatos or rice and I don’t eat crap anymore….can you look at my tracking on dailyplate.com for yesterday and today and let me know what you think? (minus the gummi worms) that was a weak momentthat is not typical because I got off work much later than anticipated and was w/o food….I went to Walgreens…BIG mistake….anyway your help would be appreciated!
